Home-Based Feeding Support

Feeding Teletherapy

Feeding teletherapy provides high quality therapy using a more convenient delivery method: remotely via video connection.   Feeding teletherapy is a great option for busy parents, children who have extreme difficulties transitioning away from their environment, medically fragile children or families that live in remote areas or cities that do not have pediatric dysphagia/feeding expert.  Both families and children benefit from teletherapy.

You will need to contact your insurance company to see if teletherapy is covered under your plan, or you can opt to pay directly.

Your Feeding Coach

Our feeding coach, Joan Comrie, M.S., CCC-SLP  is a speech pathologist who has worked exclusively with infants and children with feeding and swallowing disorders for over 30 years.  Via phone or skype (your choice) she conveniently provides feeding information to parents and caregivers struggling with a child with feeding difficulties.  It is one on one consultation via phone or skype.  The feeding coach will answer questions and help provide strategies based on your individual needs.  Because it is not feeding therapy, it is not reimbursed by insurance.

Feeding University Programs

Feeding your child does not have to be stressful.  We can help make mealtime enjoyable again.  Feeding U is an online program designed to educate parents and caregivers about feeding difficulties, what influences feeding development negatively and positively and what you as a parent or caregiver can do to promote success.   Subscribing to Feeding U Programs, will fill your feeding tool box with many strategies to create an environment for feeding success.  It is not Feeding Therapy, nor is it meant to replace Feeding Therapy.   In fact, the knowledge you will gain in Feeding U can greatly complement your child’s feeding therapy.  Feeding U is for you, the parent.  Our goal is to educate and then empower you to more easily work through difficult feeding times.  Please click here to learn more about our program.
